Wayne, NJ – Since suffering their lone loss of the season to CBA in early December, the Ironmen have won 14 straight games. In the
amidst of this win streak, Bosco has beaten defending Massachusetts State Champion BC High, won their eighth straight Bergen County Championship and captured their second consecutive Gordon Conference regular season title, by winning eight straight conference games.
Outscoring opponents 81-18 during their win streak, Bosco has featured a balanced attack, with contributions coming up and down the roster. Led by Senior Captains TJ Schweighardt (9-20-29), Tyler Sedlak (28-20-48) and Quinnipiac commit Liam McLinskey (18-28-46) the offense has produced at a consistent pace all season. Additional contributions from Sophhomore Zack Hammond (8-4-12), Junior Hunter McGee (4-15-19) and Senior Michael Forgione (3-10-13) have provided even more offensive firepower and highlighted the scoring depth of the Ironmen.
Also fueling the attack while providing stability on the blueline, Sophomore Defenseman Damien Carfagna (4-16-20) and Junior Will Fortescue (2-11-13) have provided timely goals while stifling opposing offenses.
In addition to their torrid offensive pace, Goalies Max Schwarz (15-1, 1.50 GA, 93.4 Sv%) and Kevin Rose (2-0, 0.50 GA, 96.5 Sv%) continue to dominate games between the pipes and limit opponents second chance opportunities for Don Bosco.
