Ramsey – Don Bosco Prep is proud to announce that Junior Forward, Mickey Burns has accepted a scholarship offer to attend the University of Vermont. Mickey made his decision after being courted by five different NCAA Division 1 schools. He is coming off a sophomore year where he posted 11 goals and 31 assists for 42 points and currently is second in scoring for the Ironmen with 10 points in five games.
“Mickey is one of the hardest working kids on our team. When you watch him in practice, he is always pushing himself and his teammates and during games, he never takes shifts off.” Said Coach Greg Toskos. “As good as he is on the ice, he is an even better kid off the ice. UVM is lucky to have a player of Mick’s ability and character attend their school.”
University of Vermont is a member of the Hockey East conference, known as the top conference in the country. They currently sit at 10-4-2 and are ranked #11 in the nation.
With Burns and Junior John Campomenosi earlier committing to Quinnipiac, this gives the Ironmen two NCAA Division 1 commits in the same class. Don Bosco Hockey congrats Mickey Burns and his family on this achievement.
